We try to keep fees as low as possible so that no child is excluded because of cost. We get no regular financial subsidy from the government so, unlike school nurseries, we need to charge fees that are used to pay wages, replacement toys, art materials and various other commitments.
Fees can be paid weekly, monthly or on occasion termly - cheques are payable to Coldstream Playgroup. A subscription fee is charged each term (3 times per year) to cover room hire and insurance and this will remain at £5.00 per family.
You may be entitled to financial help through the Working Tax Credit scheme if you or your partner work at least 16hrs per week and earn under £53,000 a year. For more information see
Fundraising events are held regularly to supplement this basic income and all families are encouraged to contribute to these. The more money we raise early in the school year through events like our 10K walk, the 9 Charities Fair and the Christmas raffle, the less likely we have to keep hassling you all year through.
Any family struggling to pay the weekly fees are urged to talk to Brenda so that funding support can be investigated as quickly as possible but we will always do our best to help.
